CMI’s director and some of the Institute’s students took part in the event Women Entrepreneurs and Business Owners which, after three editions in the Caribbean, held its first in Madrid, drawing a large gathering of women who told their stories to inspire others and move them to act.<\/i><\/h3>\n

CMI Business School took part in the Women Entrepreneurs and Business Owners meeting, an event bringing together women’s entrepreneurship and business leadership through a programme of talks and a round table.<\/p>\n

Representing our business school, vice-president and co-founder Nilsa M\u00e1rmol spoke about her experience as an entrepreneur and about balancing it with her private life. She also stressed that entrepreneurship is one of the Institute’s essential values, alongside CSR and innovation<\/a>.<\/p>\n

She also set out what matters in preparing to launch a venture: \u201cHere it is essential to build a high level of preparation and knowledge, so as to seize opportunities consciously.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe ability to understand the dynamics of sustainable business growth is acquired in motion, as we move into a sector, get to know it, study it and take advice (\u2026) We also have to learn to be flexible, to adapt to change, so as to overcome the challenges of a world where what is constant now is change and uncertainty,\u201d M\u00e1rmol concluded.<\/p>\n

Held at LOOM Salamanca, the event also featured Cristina Gim\u00e9nez-Vega of the consultancy Aditum, whose presentation dealt with the circular economy and with innovation as the key to generating both profitability and a sustainable planet.<\/p>\n

The organisers set out the four objectives the session sought to address: to encourage job creation and greater economic activity; to support original, creative and innovative projects created by women; to advance women’s entrepreneurship in our society; and so to encourage the entrepreneurial capacity of women in Spain.<\/p>\n

CMI took part alongside other women entrepreneurs and business owners as panellists: Quan Zhou (Propelland), Clara Jim\u00e9nez (Accenture), Marina Parra Ruiz (Oriflame Cosmetics) and Ara Rodr\u00edguez (Hipertextual).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
