Totti K\u00f6nn\u00f6l\u00e4 holds a PhD in Technological Sciences and a Master’s in Environmental Economics from Helsinki University of Technology, Finland, and advises OECD countries internationally as an expert in innovation, entrepreneurship, digitalisation and sustainability. The Responsible MBA, the key to what comes next<\/h2>\n

Find out what lies at the heart of the Responsible MBA and why training of this kind matters. As Dr K\u00f6nn\u00f6l\u00e4 explains, responsibility belongs to everyone. We therefore have to consider the impact of everyday activity \u2014 sales, customer relationships, making our products, developing services \u2014 and he stresses how important it is to manage all of it from a perspective that runs across the whole company.<\/p>\n

It is for this reason that new programmes such as the Responsible MBA<\/a> come about. The programme grows out of that cross-cutting way of thinking, in order to train and educate students through the lens of responsibility \u2014 and through it, every relevant aspect of an organisation can be managed with an innovative approach.<\/p>\n

Responsible education<\/h4>\n

\u201cAll of this about responsibility has to be seen as something that runs across the whole organisation,\u201d says K\u00f6nn\u00f6l\u00e4 in this video produced by CMI’s communications team. He adds: \u201cResponsibility is often dealt with in marketing or environmental management, and in that sense it becomes somebody’s territory within the company (\u2026) Responsibility belongs to everyone, not to one particular function.\u201d<\/p>\n
