{"id":21557,"date":"2025-12-03T11:07:28","date_gmt":"2025-12-03T10:07:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cmi.es\/cmi-esade-focus-group-sdg-observatory\/"},"modified":"2025-12-03T11:07:28","modified_gmt":"2025-12-03T10:07:28","slug":"cmi-esade-focus-group-sdg-observatory","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cmi.es\/en\/cmi-esade-focus-group-sdg-observatory\/","title":{"rendered":"CMI Business School took part in Esade&#8217;s focus group, the SDG Observatory"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Corporate social responsibility remains a developing challenge, and one that has proved highly relevant to social, governance and environmental factors in Spain. <strong>CMI Business School<\/strong> took part in <strong>Esade&#8217;s focus group, the \u201cSDG Observatory\u201d<\/strong>, which brought together more than 43 companies from Madrid and Barcelona committed to leadership and sustainability.<\/p>\n<p>The organisations taking part had a rich exchange of knowledge. CMI showed that it has been committed from the outset to everything connected with good CSR practice, through <strong>Rafael Garc\u00eda<\/strong>, president of CMI Business School, and <strong>Roberto Ballester<\/strong>, a lecturer at the institution, who set out the school&#8217;s academic values and its contribution to raising the <strong>importance of CSR<\/strong> today.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cIt is important to note how much responsible leadership will weigh within organisations in the years ahead. Regulation is without doubt the engine of transformation, but <strong>it will matter more and more that an organisation acts authentically<\/strong> \u2014 first, to achieve genuinely sustainable growth, and second, to reduce greenwashing and the inconsistencies that customers will spot,\u201d<\/em> <strong>said Garc\u00eda<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Another meeting with <strong>CMI Business School<\/strong> taking part was thus held with the aim of advancing good business practice, highlighting what has been achieved so far while emphasising the changes that CSR still needs.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cIt is essential to ask whether this system needs fixing. We see a curve of inequality that keeps growing, despite all the positive impact achieved. Perhaps it all needs thinking through in depth, where <strong>the only way forward is to change<\/strong> the current system substantially.
