To examine that shift, CMI took an active part in the second B Dinner.

CMI attended the second B Dinner, an invitation-only gathering organised by the steering group of the B Madrid Community that brought together leaders committed to positive impact and to the responsible management of talent.

The session, led by Ana E. and the B Madrid Community team, unfolded in a spirit of complete candour, with valuable insights shared on leadership, two-way knowledge transfer, and the shifting expectations that the newer generations (and the more seasoned ones) hold about the workplace. The discussion focused on the pressing need to collaborate, co-lead and co-create in order to turn the coexistence of different ages in the workforce into a genuine competitive advantage.

The human factor and the personalisation of talent

At the gathering, the president and dean of CMI Higher Education offered a deeply strategic and deeply human view of how to meet these organisational challenges successfully. He stressed that, given the complexity of intergenerational teams, it is essential for managers to be able to connect closely with every person on their team, understanding their motivations in detail and making sure each individual profile is well matched to what the role demands.

He also underlined how critical it is to adapt performance expectations to each employee individually, so that career and talent development plans can be tailored to help every professional reach their full potential.

Continuous training as the engine of business KPIs

For that personalisation of talent to have a real effect on a company’s KPIs and results, however, a firm commitment to continuous staff training becomes crucial. We find ourselves in a context of dizzying change, strongly marked by the arrival of disruptive technologies and methodologies such as artificial intelligence (AI). In that setting, companies cannot afford to let their teams stagnate.

This is precisely where CMI Higher Education plays a crucial part in the corporate market. This higher education institute positions itself as the strategic ally that HR business partners (HRBPs), chief learning officers and talent & development managers need today.

True to its motto, “CMI STEAM Training Programmes: Quality Education for a Better World, Leading with Purpose, Innovating with Responsibility”, CMI offers organisations concrete solutions to concrete problems.
