Dr de Haro is a Work and Organisational Psychologist specialised in results-oriented training, talent identification and development, competency management, emotional intelligence, performance, selection and development, with more than thirty years of professional experience in private companies (Agbar, SUEZ), public institutions (INEM), human resources consultancy (General Electric Plastics Spain, GP Hotels), and teaching and research at universities and business schools (University of Murcia, University of Alicante, Miguel Hernández University, UNED, ENAE, Official College of Psychologists, FUNDESEM, EEN and UOC).
He has served as a University Lecturer under various roles, including: Honorary Collaborator, Department of Developmental Psychology and Didactics, University of Alicante (2014–present); Associate Lecturer, Department of Psychiatry and Social Psychology, University of Murcia; Associate Lecturer, Department of Business Organisation, University of Murcia; Institute of Educational Sciences (ICE), University of Alicante; Tutor Lecturer at UNED Faculty of Psychology; and Coordinator of the Faculty of Psychology at the UNED Associated Centre in Cartagena. 1989-1991.
He is the author of more than 40 scientific and technical publications on psychology and human resources in journals such as International Journal of Human Resource Management, Journal of Vocational Behaviour, Journal of Career Assessment, Annals of Psychology, International Journal of Mentoring and Coaching, Journal of Work and Organizational Psychology, Papeles del Colegio de Psicólogos, Capital Humano, Ansiedad y Estrés, Training and Development Digest, International Journal of Community and Family Medicine, Dirigir Personas, Herramientas de Coaching, Revista de Trabajo y Seguridad Social CEF, and publications by Civitas, UNED, Pearson, Prentice Hall and Sanz y Robles, among others. He has also contributed more than 50 papers (communications and poster presentations) at national and international conferences, seminars, round tables and professional meetings on psychology, human resources and occupational health.
He is a member of editorial boards and has served as a reviewer for publications such as International Journal of Mentoring and Coaching. Reviewer for Journal of Entrepreneurship and Organization Management, Annals of Psychology, International Journal of Human Resource Management, and for several research groups conducting international projects.
In 2004, he received the AEDIPE HUMAN Award for Innovation in HR for the article: “Does anyone know what a competency is? From McClelland to ISO 9000”. He was also a finalist for the Financial Studies Award (HR category) in 1995 for the paper “The economic impact of personnel selection programmes: Utility analysis”, and in 2009 for the paper “Can we predict talent?”.
He is also an Executive Coach for senior management, accredited as ACC by ICF, PEC ©, and MISCP Accredited (ISCP).
He was born in Cartagena (Murcia) and currently lives in Alicante.
