About CMI Higher Education

CMI Higher Education is an international higher education institution specializing in STEAM, sustainability, artificial intelligence and Industry 6.0, organized into five Schools. It offers bachelor’s degrees, master’s degrees, higher vocational training, Specialist and Expert programs and a doctorate, in Spanish and English, on campus in Madrid and Valencia and online.

Five broad areas, one per School: Sciences and Sustainable Development; Engineering, Architecture and Artificial Intelligence (Higher Polytechnic School); Humanities and Arts; Social Sciences and Law; and Health Sciences. The common thread is STEAM, innovation and preparation for Industry 6.0.

That was its origin: it was founded in 2017 as CMI Business School, focused on responsible management and CSR. Today it is a cross-disciplinary higher education institution with five Schools. Sustainability and social responsibility remain part of all its programs, as one pillar alongside STEAM, artificial intelligence, innovation and Industry 6.0.

It has two locations in Spain: Madrid (main campus, Gran Vía de San Francisco 15) and Valencia (Plaza Virgen de la Paz 3). It also has a presence in Santo Domingo (Dominican Republic) through CMI S.R.L. (Calle Cibao Este 31, Edificio Isora 1, Los Cacicazgos). Online programs can be taken from any country.

Official qualifications are the bachelor’s degrees and university master’s degrees awarded by UTAMED university; higher vocational training, for which CMI is an official centre (centre code 28083142); and the DBA doctorate from JUNIA – Université Catholique de Lille (France). They are valid for research, public-sector competitive examinations and access to doctoral studies.

CMI’s master’s degrees and MBAs, Specialist and Expert programs are CMI qualifications, most of them with a dual degree from the Catholic University of Ávila (UCAV): they are continuously updated by practising professionals, apply industry best practice and are recognised by employers, including internationally.

Its status as a Collaborating Centre of the Catholic University of Ávila (UCAV), ISO 9001 certification (Bureau Veritas, valid until 2029), B Corp certification, the Cualificam quality seal and official registration of its master’s programs, and its presence in rankings by El Mundo, Mundoposgrado and Financial Magazine. Artificial intelligence

AI is taught mainly through the Higher Polytechnic School of Engineering, Architecture and Artificial Intelligence. Current programs include the Master’s in Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity (60 ECTS), the Expert Program in Artificial Intelligence applied to Business (20 ECTS, online), the official bachelor’s degrees in Computer Engineering and in Digital Economy and Business Intelligence, and the DBA doctorate in collaboration with JUNIA (Université Catholique de Lille).

In the 2027 offering (from February 2027) AI extends to: MBA with a Specialization in Sustainable Tourism and Artificial Intelligence; Master in Marketing and International Trade Management with a Specialization in Artificial Intelligence and Sustainability; Specialist in Project Management, Leadership and Artificial Intelligence; Specialist in Digital Marketing Management, Social Media and Artificial Intelligence; and Specialist in Administrative Management, Customer Service and Artificial Intelligence.

Industry 6.0

It is the stage in which artificial intelligence, autonomous systems and hyperautomation are integrated into work and decision-making within socially and environmentally responsible and sustainable development, seeking resilience and the creation of conscious value with a positive impact. Its key is collaboration between people and machines, not replacement, and development in harmony with nature. We explain it in our reference page “What is Industry 6.0?” and in “The Evolution of Work II: from Industry 4.0 to Industry 6.0”.

Industry 4.0 brought the internet, cyber-physical systems and digitalization; 5.0 put the focus on people, well-being and sustainability; and 6.0 adds artificial intelligence, autonomous systems and hyperautomation. They are not closed stages: they coexist within organizations.

Analytical thinking and problem-solving; technological competence and an understanding of AI; creativity, innovation and lifelong learning; communication, collaboration and critical thinking; and an ethical and sustainability mindset. Above all, the ability to connect knowledge, technology and judgment.

It integrates STEAM, technology as a professional tool, innovation, sustainability and conscious development across its programs; its 2027 offering also includes an MBA with a Specialization in STEAM and Industry 6.0. This is complemented by the CMI Think Tank, with articles by faculty on AI, work and sustainability.

Sustainability

Through the School of Sciences and Sustainable Development and the School of Social Sciences and Law: Master’s in CSR and Sustainability (in Spanish and English), Master’s in Sustainable Finance Management, MBA in Sustainable Tourism, Specialist in Quality Management and CSR, and Expert programs in CSR and Sustainability, Sustainable Economics and Finance, Sustainable Entrepreneurship and Sustainable Digital Marketing.

Admissions and studies

In-person classes are held at our two locations in Spain:

Madrid (main campus): Gran Vía de San Francisco 15, 28005 Madrid.

Valencia: Plaza Virgen de la Paz 3, 46001 Valencia.

Online programs can be taken from anywhere in the world.

Master’s programmes are limited to a maximum of 30 students per group. Training courses have between 12 and 15 students per class.

For training courses, with the exception of Master’s programs, no prior education or experience is required.

For Master’s programs, a higher education degree from any professional field is required, or non-graduates who can validate their title through meritocracy of relevant professional experience. Except for the Master in Sustainable Finance, which requires a background related to finance, economics, business, or similar fields. No prior experience is required, but if you have it, university studies in the area can be validated if you have not studied a degree related to finance.

A series of requirements and documents must be submitted during the admission application process, as detailed in the Master’s section of the website.

No, they are proprietary degrees developed with the highest quality standards, designed to successfully enter and excel in the international job market.

Yes, the notarization and apostille process for CMI degrees can be carried out, provided it is done through our institution. It must be requested with 10 business days’ notice and costs €100. Shipping throughout Spain or internationally is also available (subject to fees).

Yes. CMI offers scholarships of up to 50% of the master’s fee to candidates with a record of academic excellence, to those from emerging economies and to those with a disability. A 25% award, meanwhile, goes to those with a professional background in CSR, NGOs, volunteering or similar work, to those who are unemployed and to recent graduates.

For all candidates, CMI offers financing to make Master’s payments in 9 monthly installments. If payment is made in a single initial installment, the student can benefit from a single payment discount.

Continuous student evaluation is carried out through case studies, exams, individual assignments, and teamwork.

Our programs are taught in Spanish (except for our new Expert in CSR and Sustainability program, which is also taught in English). However, an official certificate is not required, provided the applicant demonstrates a sufficient level to fully follow the classes.

A level corresponding to B2 (according to the Common European Framework of Reference) is recommended.

Professional Internships can be completed as part of the Master’s Final Project or in addition to it. These will be paid, and all students will have the option to continue the internship period extracurricularly, i.e., without credit, for a period of 6 months. At the bottom of our homepage, you can see which organizations we collaborate with.

The weekly hours dedicated to the program depend on the chosen modality and the level of dedication of each student. In the in-person weekly modality, the student has eight hours of classes per week; in the in-person bi-weekly modality, it is 10 hours every two weeks; and in the online modality, it is approximately six hours of class every 15 days, not including the hours each student dedicates to study and completing assignments.

The class schedule is designed so that students can attend sessions without their professional work being affected, or so that those who are not working can apply for internships and jobs without conflicts with the Master’s schedule.

Payments can be made via bank transfer, credit card, or PayPal. The latter payment method includes a service fee of 38 euros, which is borne by the student.
