• The Master's in Access to the Legal Profession immerses you in a legal education aimed squarely at professional practice. Over the course of the programme you will work on litigation, legal advice and legal management across different specialisms, from a current standpoint connected to what the profession actually requires.
• The programme is also designed to prepare you to pass the official examination for admission to practice as an advocate or court agent. • Practising as an advocate or court agent: Develop the competences to work independently or in a firm, take on court representation, and offer specialist legal advice to companies and to individuals.
• Entering the legal branches of the public service: Prepare for the competitive examinations that lead to the judiciary, the public prosecution service, the notarial profession, the State Legal Service, the court registry, or nationally qualified posts in local government.
• Acting in litigation and alternative dispute resolution: Act in court proceedings and build the skills to work in mediation, arbitration and other alternative routes to resolving disputes, increasingly sought after in legal practice.
• Mastering legal communication, spoken and written: Refine your ability to draft legal documents, build sound arguments, negotiate effectively and express yourself clearly before clients, courts and other parties.
• Understanding the social role of law: Examine the legal system as the instrument that regulates how we live together, and develop a critical view of its social, ethical and human effects in everyday life.

Students with university studies

• Admission to the master's requires a Spanish law degree (Licenciado or Graduado en Derecho), or another equivalent university qualification attesting to the necessary legal competences.
• Graduates of foreign universities must have their qualification formally recognised as equivalent to the Spanish law degree before the master's begins. Conditional enrolment is not permitted for Spanish students with the final-year project and up to 9 ECTS still outstanding.
• A declaration of equivalence to bachelor's level is not sufficient: formal recognition as the specific law qualification is expressly required.
