Entry requirements

Entry from Spanish upper-secondary education, vocational training or the university entrance examination 1. Students holding the Spanish Bachillerato or an equivalent qualification who have passed the university entrance examination under the rules in force. 2. Students holding a higher vocational training, fine arts and design, or higher sports qualification, or the equivalent, with no entrance examination required. 3. Students from foreign education systems who do not need to sit an entrance examination: • Students from the European Union or from countries with reciprocal agreements, meeting the requirements of their own education systems. • Holders of the European Baccalaureate (European Schools). • Holders of the International Baccalaureate Diploma. Students with university studies 1. Holders of an official bachelor's or master's degree, or the equivalent. 2. Graduates holding an official qualification awarded before the current university rules (Diplomado, Arquitecto Técnico, Ingeniero Técnico, Licenciado, Arquitecto or Ingeniero), or the equivalent. 3. Students with partial university studies in Spain, if the university recognises at least 30 ECTS credits. 4. Students with partial university studies abroad, or a foreign university qualification not formally recognised in Spain, provided the Spanish university recognises at least 30 ECTS credits. If recognition is not granted, they may be admitted on the same terms as students from their own education system without university studies. In certain cases they must meet the requirements for recognition of the qualification or of non-university studies under Spanish law. Other routes of entry 1. Having passed the university entrance examination for applicants over 25. 2. Having passed the university entrance examination for applicants over 40. 3. Having passed the university entrance examination for applicants over 45. Entry requirements for the degree No specific prior education is required to enrol on this degree beyond what the law in force establishes. It is recommended, however, that applicants come from the upper-secondary or higher education routes related to the field of study. Should applications for the degree exceed the places available, UTAMED — the university of merit — will apply the following admission criteria: Language requirement Students who are not Spanish nationals, or who come from countries whose official language is not Spanish, must demonstrate a command of Spanish of at least level B1 of the CEFR, or the equivalent. • The relevance of the field of the applicant's university entrance examination or upper-secondary studies to the degree applied for. » Arts and humanities: graphic design. » Social sciences and law: communication, law, economics, early childhood education, primary education, finance and marketing, and graphic design. » Engineering and architecture: industrial engineering and management. » Health sciences: nutrition and psychology. • The grade point average of the qualification giving access to the degree.
