Are you passionate about education and want to be at the forefront of technological change in the classroom? Our Master's Degree in Educational and Digital Technologies is designed to prepare you as a twenty-first-century teacher. It will give you advanced digital competences, aligned with the European Union's Digital Competence Framework, and command of the digital tools and resources needed for teaching that is dynamic, practical and innovative.

Shaped around the requirements of Spain's National Institute of Educational Technologies and Teacher Training (INTEF), this programme equips you to meet the challenges of educational change and to become a point of reference in technology applied to education. Take the next step in your own learning and transform the way you teach.

Why study this master's?

A rigorous syllabus combining a solid theoretical grounding with practice-oriented learning, designed around the real challenges of digital education.
  • You will master the digital tools that transform how you teach, from Moodle and Google Classroom to AI applied to education, immersive technologies and augmented reality.
  • You will learn active methods such as the flipped classroom, gamification and project-based learning, applying them in real settings for teaching that is dynamic and effective.
  • You will learn from a leading faculty of experts in educational technology and EdTech, with experience of real projects and of where the sector is going.
  • You will design innovative projects in each subject rather than sit traditional exams, so that what you learn is practical and applicable in your own teaching.
  • You will gain a UTAMED certificate in Teachers' Digital Competence, improving your employability and helping you stand out in selection processes.
  • You will advance your career with a master's that counts towards Spanish public-sector teaching competitions and is geared to what the education market needs today.

Who is it for?

This Master's in Educational Technology is aimed above all at teaching professionals who want to rethink how they teach, using digital and technological resources to connect with their students and bring education to life. Any university graduate with an interest in teaching, at any stage of education, may be admitted.

To get the most from the content, however, the programme is recommended to graduates in related fields — early childhood, primary or secondary education — and to professionals from other sectors who teach.

Methodology

Entry requirements

1. Hold an official bachelor's degree awarded by a Spanish university, or an equivalent qualification. 2. Hold a bachelor's or master's degree issued by an institution within the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) that gives access to master's study in the country of origin. 3. Hold a university qualification obtained outside the EHEA, equivalent to a bachelor's degree and without the need for formal recognition, provided that it gives access to postgraduate study in the country of origin. Admission on this basis does not imply official recognition of the qualification or its validity for any other purpose within the Spanish education system. If you hold a foreign qualification not formally recognised in Spain, the university will check that it meets the requirements for admission to the master's. You will need to show that your qualification gives access to master's study in the country that issued it. You may enrol on a master's if all you have left is your final-year project and up to 9 ECTS of your bachelor's degree, although you cannot be awarded the master's until the degree is complete. Priority goes to applicants who already hold the official university qualification. Admission criteria Should applications for the Online Master's Degree in Educational Technologies exceed the places available, UTAMED — the university of merit — will apply the following admission criteria: • The grade point average of the qualification giving access to the master's. Language requirement Students who are not Spanish nationals, or who come from countries whose official language is not Spanish, must demonstrate a command of Spanish of at least level B2 of the CEFR, or the equivalent.
