Introduction

Professional Experience
Juan Manuel García Camús holds a PhD in Statistics and Operations Research from URJC (Extraordinary Doctorate Prize). He holds a Degree in Chemical Sciences from UAM and a Diploma of Advanced Studies in Chemical Engineering from URJC. He also completed an MBA at UPM.
He began his professional career at an engineering company specialising in wastewater treatment, later joining the Centre for the Development of Industrial Technology (CDTI). He subsequently worked as a project coordinator within the industrial plants division of a British multinational company. For the past 15 years, he has been working at Rey Juan Carlos University in management roles in the areas of the Creation of Technology- or Knowledge-Based Companies (EBTC) and the European Projects Office.
Dr García Camús is accredited by the Escuela de Organización Industrial (EOI) as a consultant in intangible asset management and strategic consultancy.
He combines his management work with teaching and research activities. He has been a lecturer in the Department of Applied Mathematics at the Higher School of Engineering and Technology of the International University of La Rioja (UNIR) and an associate lecturer in the Department of Statistics at Carlos III University of Madrid (UC3M). He is a regular speaker at various courses and seminars.
His research activity focuses on the application of mathematical and statistical methods to quality and the improvement of production methods, as well as on energy-related topics, with particular emphasis on hydrogen technologies and fuel cells. He has participated in 16 projects, three of which were international, and is co-inventor of a utility model currently being commercialised.
He has also participated as an evaluator in various European programmes (INCO, EACI, FP7) and as a member of the first external evaluators’ panel for the implementation of the Human Resource Strategy for Researchers (HRS4R).
Furthermore, Dr García Camús is a member of the steering group of the Spanish Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technology Platform (PTE HPC) and has been a member of the Executive Committee of the Spanish Hydrogen Association. He has also served as the representative of the Community of Madrid for HYCO ERA-NET and before the Intelligent Energy Sector Group, representing the Community of Madrid.
