Professional Experience

He has developed his professional career in various companies, particularly in the field of Strategic Consultancy in Corporate Risk Management. Since the beginning of his professional career, he has held positions as Head of Production at Minas de Almadén y Arrayanes (1982–1988) and Product Manager at Exxon Chemical International, part of the Exxon Co. Group (1988–1991).

He has also served as Manager of the Management Consulting Department at Coopers & Lybrand, S.A., in the area of Environmental Management Consulting project management and supervision. Additionally, he was Senior Manager of the Global Risk Management Department at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he managed and supervised projects aimed at improving clients’ technological risk management. He led projects redefining strategy for local administration and business organisations and headed multidisciplinary teams. He was Director of the Technological Risks Division at ITSEMAP, MAPFRE Group, responsible for Industrial Safety, Sustainability Strategy and Environmental Risk Management in both the public and private sectors. He also served as Business Development Manager for strategic environmental and energy consultancy at MATCHMIND, S.L., responsible for commercial management and client relations with organisations at high environmental accident risk, project management, and the development of methodologies for risk assessment and coverage.
For the past 10 years to the present, he has held the position of Managing Partner at SLOGA INGENIEROS SL., providing clients with energy technical solutions. The company focuses on minimising pollution, promoting energy efficiency, reducing losses, spills and leakages of products, and fostering technological innovation in the fields of environment and energy efficiency. He is also an EU Expert at IBATECH as Head of Hazardous Chemical Waste Management for eight countries on the Atlantic façade of Africa and Tunisia (CBRN 35 Project – EU).

He combines his current work in strategic risk consultancy with academic activity: Associate Lecturer, Master’s in Occupational Risk Prevention (PRL) and Integrated Management Systems (SIG) (UNIR) and Associate Lecturer in Environmental Technology and Coordinator of the Risk of the Master’s in Environmental Management (UCLM) and Associate Lecturer, Master’s in CSR and Organisational Development Sustainability and Human Management at CMI.
