Verónica Medaura holds a PhD in International Organisations Management from the University of Valencia, Spain (2013); in the same year she received the award for “Best National Doctoral Thesis Proposal in Business Management 2012–2013” (granted by the Spanish Scientific Association of Economics and Business Management – ACEDE, Spain). She holds a Master’s in Creation and Management of Innovative Companies from the University of Valencia, Spain (2011); postgraduate studies in Competency-Based Training (advanced level) from the National University of Cuyo, Argentina and the ILO, Turin Centre (2007); and a Degree in Business Administration and Management from the National University of Cuyo, Argentina (1997).
She currently conducts research and collaborates with various institutions in Spain, the USA and Latin America in her areas of specialisation, particularly in the responsible management of organisations from a global and systemic approach grounded in Complexity Sciences. Since 2004 she has taught at undergraduate and postgraduate level, including thesis supervision, in the area of Management and Strategic Direction of International Organisations at universities in Argentina, the USA and currently Spain.
She has more than twenty years of professional experience in the private sector, managing projects in institutions such as Banco de la Nación Argentina and Banco de Mendoza (leading Reengineering and Quality teams using Citibank methodology); providing tax and financial advisory services at H&R Block (USA); and as co-founder of V&T Group (USA), a startup in the communications sector. In Spain, from 2010 to 2013, she advised startups on accelerating funding from Business Angels and Venture Capital (Yarakseed & SeedRocket).
She has participated in neuromarketing and augmented reality projects for the Polytechnic University of Valencia, Spain (INNpacto Programme 2011) and was part of the research team of the Department of Business Management at the University of Valencia, Spain, in the project: Spillovers from Multinational Companies — the impact of institutional context and ethical business practices in Emerging Economies — (quantitative research using panel data analysis) (UV, 2010–2015). She currently delivers courses and conferences internationally and participates in projects at the Centre for Prospective Studies of the Faculty of Political Sciences of the National University of Cuyo (CEP – UNC), Argentina, and The Millennium Project (TMP, USA).
