Terms of Sale
Conditions for requesting a change of study mode and/or intake:
In duly justified cases of visa refusal, illness, or force majeure.
- Request a change of study mode and/or programme within the same current intake.
This must be submitted in writing at least thirty (30) calendar days before classes begin, stating the reason for the change along with the new study mode and/or programme you wish to switch to. This request must be addressed to the Admissions Department (admisiones@cmi.es), as well as your academic advisor.
If the change is to a study mode and/or programme with a lower fee than the study mode and/or programme initially chosen, the necessary financial adjustment will be made by applying a surcharge of 5% of the total price of the original study mode. If the change is to a study mode and/or programme with a higher fee than initially chosen, the student must pay the corresponding difference.
If the request is submitted less than thirty (30) days before classes begin and more than ten (10) days before, the change will be subject to programme availability. The student must pay an administrative processing fee of 10% of the total programme cost.
If the request is submitted less than ten (10) days before the programme start date, or once the course has started, the student must pay an administrative processing fee of 15% of the total programme cost.
Students with approved study visas may not make any type of change of study mode and/or programme.
- Request a change of intake
With justification:
If the request to change intake is submitted at least twenty (20) calendar days before classes begin, with official supporting documentation proving that the student cannot attend the current intake due to visa refusal, illness and/or a serious accident that prevents attendance, the change will be accepted at no cost, on a one-time basis only. The request must be submitted to the Admissions Department admisiones@cmi.es, and to the academic advisor.
If requested outside this period, the corresponding surcharges will apply in accordance with the following section.
Without justification:
– No cost: Informing the institution at least sixty (60) calendar days in advance of the class start date
– With a 10% charge applied to the total programme cost: Informing the institution at least thirty (30) calendar days and more than ten (10) calendar days before classes begin.
– With a 20% charge applied to the total programme cost: Informing the institution less than ten (10) calendar days before classes begin, up to the first month of the programme.
If the student requests a second change—whether of intake, programme and/or study mode—whether justified or not, they must pay, in addition to the surcharges explained in the previous section, the re-enrolment fee for the programme. All changes will be applied according to the prices in force.
Right of withdrawal
The student may exercise their right of withdrawal within the time and in the manner granted by law, i.e., by notifying their wish to cancel the enrolment within the fourteen (14) calendar days following its formalisation, and provided that this is done at least thirty (30) calendar days before the start of the programme to which the student has applied, notifying this by email to admisiones@cmi.es and to their responsible advisor.
The full enrolment fee will be refunded using the same method the student used to make the payment (card, bank transfer, PayPal), taking into account any bank charges and the issuance of official letters generated by the enrolment transaction.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
Students who travel to our campus in Madrid to attend an on-site programme with a study visa granted by CMI Business School will not be entitled to a refund of the amounts paid if they withdraw from their studies for reasons beyond our control.
Conditions for requesting a refund of the enrolment fee for a justified reason:
CMI reserves the right to assess the refund of the enrolment fee, without prejudice to the right of withdrawal, provided that the student justifies and documents it at least thirty (30) calendar days before the start of the programme by notifying CMI by email at admisiones@cmi.es, exclusively in the cases detailed below:
- Visa refusal in two different study intakes that prevents the student from fulfilling their commitment to attend the programme in person, provided that the impossibility of taking the programme in Online mode can be demonstrated.
- If the student suffers a serious illness that occurs unexpectedly and requires prolonged treatment in their place of origin or hospitalisation. The case will be assessed by CMI Business School upon submission of all corresponding official medical documentation.
CMI will confirm receipt of the documentation and will verify the authenticity of such supporting documents and, in no case, will it consider requests that are not duly supported by official bodies.
If CMI approves the refund of the amounts paid by the student, they will be refunded via the same method used for payment (card, bank transfer, PayPal). From the amount to be refunded, €300 will be deducted for secretarial, administrative, and processing costs, in addition to any bank fees resulting from the student’s initial payment (*card fee or other established platforms).
The estimated timeframe to receive the refund is three (3) months from written approval by CMI Business School.
In any other circumstance, the requested refund cannot be processed.
Programme Cancellation
The full enrolment fee (*) will be refunded when the programme does not reach the minimum number of participants required to run.
CMI reserves the right to offer the student the option to take another programme in the same intake, or to take the same programme in the next intake, without this entailing any additional cost for the student.
Payment Methods
CMI Business School offers students the option to choose from the following payment methods:
- Payment of the full price in a single instalment
- Instalment payment without external financing, to be agreed with the student
In cases where the student chooses the instalment payment option, no external financing entity other than CMI is involved.
In the case of instalment or deferred payments, instalments will be paid monthly within the first five days of the month in which the training begins. The student undertakes to pay all monthly instalments.
Failure to pay more than two instalments will entitle CMI to apply an increase of 5% of the instalment as late-payment interest, as well as to disable access to the virtual classroom, and will result in termination of this enrolment contract, with CMI being able to claim the remaining outstanding amounts.
Non-attendance of classes or withdrawal from completing the full master’s programme does not, at any time, imply exemption from full payment of the Master’s programme.
If CMI is forced to file a claim to recover unpaid or outstanding amounts owed by the student, all out-of-court expenses, as well as any legal costs incurred in such proceedings, including attorneys’ and court agents’ fees, will be borne in full by the student, even when the involvement of such professionals is not mandatory.
