Under the agreement, the Madrid business school will train 55 outstanding Dominican students on its postgraduate programmes at the institution specialising in CSR.
CMI Business School has signed a collaboration agreement with the Dominican Republic’s Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology (MESCYT) to provide grants for 55 Dominican students, who will enrol at the business school to take our innovative master’s programmes.
The agreement was signed by CMI’s president and director, Rafael García Martín, and MESCYT’s minister, Dr Franklin García Fermín, who also agreed on training for 100 Dominicans on short courses and 150 on online seminars.
Those awarded the grants will join the October 2021 intake and may choose from CMI’s full range of academic programmes:
- Responsible MBA
- Master’s in Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability
- Master’s in Sustainable Finance Management
- Master’s in Human Management and Organizational Development
- Master’s in Responsible Marketing and International Trade Management
They may also choose whichever study mode best suits them: on campus weekly, or 100% online.
After signing, García Martín described the agreement as “a commitment to excellence”, one that would represent “sustainable business growth and a deep rooting of CSR, so as to train more entrepreneurs who will bring success to the Dominican Republic”.
García Fermín, for his part, stressed how significant an agreement with CMI Business School is. “This is a conscious business school that seeks benefit for society and for the environment alike, building values that reflect local and global concerns (…) CMI specialises in exactly that.”
Also present for CMI was its co-founder and vice-president, Nilsa Mármol. For MESCYT, those attending included deputy minister Carlos Mendieta; special adviser Julio Altagracia; the director-general for international scholarships, Roger Mora; chief of staff Juan Medina; and Miguel Mota, who handles international agreements.
