CMI Business School had the honour of welcoming representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of Haiti. Led by His Excellency Guy G. Lamothe, with First Secretary Fabienne Dormevil and Carl Eric Barthelus, the Haitian delegation discussed a proposal that could open new opportunities for Haitian citizens.
The meeting, chaired by CMI Business School’s president, founder and dean, Rafael García, and its vice-president and co-founder, Nilsa Mármol, marked the beginning of talks aimed at establishing an agreement on special scholarships.
Its principal purpose was to offer Haitian citizens the opportunity to study and train at Spain’s first school specialising in corporate social responsibility.
By providing access to quality educational opportunities, the aim is to contribute significantly to the personal and professional development of those who benefit, and to the wider progress of the Republic of Haiti.
Collaboration between educational institutions and foreign governments is essential if such investment is to reach those who need it most. The proposal to establish special scholarships for Haitian citizens is a step in that direction, and the beginning of what may prove a fruitful collaboration between CMI Business School and the Republic of Haiti.
