The business school now forms part of the Spanish Network, the body through which the United Nations Global Compact operates in Spain, confirming its commitment to corporate sustainability and to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
CMI Business School has joined the United Nations Global Compact, the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative, with more than 13,000 signatory organisations and a presence in over 160 countries.
The Global Compact operates in Spain through the Spanish Network, which currently has 1,833 organisations signed up to this corporate social responsibility initiative — making it the local network with the largest number of participants in the world, and therefore the most significant.
Of the organisations that make it up, 22% are large companies, 62% are small and medium-sized enterprises and 17.6% are other kinds of organisation: the third sector, trade unions, business associations and educational institutions.
Our business school, specialising in corporate social responsibility and now a member of the largest local network in the world, thus undertakes to align its operations with the universally accepted Ten Principles of the Global Compact, covering human rights, labour standards, the environment and anti-corruption.
In joining, CMI also confirms its commitment to advocacy, awareness and education in support of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), shaping leaders of integrity and responsibility who will work for sustainability, inclusion and justice in society.
The United Nations Global Compact was launched in 2000 and is the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative. It currently has more than 13,000 participating organisations across over 160 countries and 69 local networks.
The Spanish Network of the Global Compact stands out for the number of its members, for the number of progress reports and sustainability reports submitted, for its performance and for the solutions it offers its members.
