It is the first private university in Mérida, Yucatán, operating since 1984 and with a strongly international character: it offers 180 academic exchange options across 30 countries.
CMI Business School is pleased to announce a new collaboration agreement furthering the best possible education for its students. This time it is an agreement with Mexico’s Universidad Anáhuac Mayab, to encourage international student exchange and to offer opportunities for internationalisation and for building global and intercultural skills.
Student exchange brings new experiences and learning, the making of international connections, fresh perspectives, and knowledge and development in multicultural settings — without doubt a considerable advantage in the job market.
It will take the form of a complementary, voluntary international module. For the time being it can only be taken online, though we hope the restrictions arising from the COVID-19 pandemic will ease and in-person exchanges become possible.
The academic collaboration agreement provides, among other things, that students will accumulate credits towards their programmes at the host university. It also establishes academic exchange for developing research, teaching and outreach programmes.
The two institutions undertake to encourage professional placements in disciplines and programmes of mutual interest, and will give due credit to each professional on the basis of their part in the joint activities that produced the scientific or teaching material.
The agreement takes effect for Universidad Anáhuac Mayab’s coming summer term, taught between June and July 2021.
The closing date for applications for that term is 30 April.
Modules are also available for the August to December 2021 semester, with a closing date of 15 May.
For virtual exchanges students may choose a single module if they wish; for in-person exchange the minimum is three.
