On 10 June, CMI Higher Education’s Student Welfare Department held, to considerable success, the third edition of “Fusión Gastronómica” — one of the integration and networking activities our international community looks forward to most.

This annual gathering brought together students from different parts of the world, who had the chance to share dishes from their home countries. It made for a singular experience in which food became the common language for building companionship, cultural exchange and new friendships.

Through the day, those attending were able to taste a wide variety of flavours from countries including Mexico, Cameroon, the United States, Haiti, Tunisia, Italy, Spain, Peru, Cuba, Colombia, Venezuela and the Dominican Republic, among others. Every dish told a story, reflecting the traditions, customs and cultural richness of the nations our students represent.

Beyond the food, the event let participants share their experiences of settling into life in Spain, exchange academic and professional perspectives, and strengthen the bonds that make CMI Higher Education a global community.

International diversity is one of our institution’s principal values, and events such as “Fusión Gastronómica” help our students build the personal and professional connections that enrich their education and let them build an international network from the moment they begin their studies.

This third edition consolidates an initiative that grows year on year in participation, enthusiasm and impact within the student community. What began as a social activity has become a much-anticipated tradition, reflecting the multicultural spirit that characterises CMI Higher Education.

The Student Welfare Department is grateful to all the students who made the day possible, and confirms our commitment to continuing with activities that encourage integration, cultural exchange and a sense of community among our international students.

The third edition of “Fusión Gastronómica” has shown once again that the best way to connect cultures is by sharing the experiences, the stories and the flavours that bring us closer and enrich us as a global community.
