CMI has become a Protective Partner of DIRSE. The Spanish Association of Social Responsibility Managers (DIRSE) is Spain’s first association of social responsibility professionals, founded in April 2013 and made up of more than 350 members: managers, consultants and academics.
CMI, the first business school to join DIRSE as a protective partner
A protective partner of DIRSE is one who makes a particularly significant contribution — personal, financial or in kind — to the association’s development, and therefore to its aim of giving proper standing to the managerial role of the CSR professional and to their work, so as to widen their capacity to influence the creation of value within organisations. Through this collaboration CMI contributes to DIRSE’s goals of improving and advancing the professional work of a group crucial to the sustainable success of organisations.
The advantages of membership
Membership of DIRSE lets us form part of a space for meeting and debate that champions the leadership of the social responsibility function in the strategic management of organisations. Belonging to the association lets us be heard with a single voice in the national and international debate on CSR, and so gives us considerable visibility and presence on the social responsibility agenda. Beyond all that, it also lets us get to know, and become known to, the rest of the community of CSR professionals, and share experiences, challenges and good practice.
The association’s purposes are to support and promote the specific function carried out by social responsibility managers and executives in companies, institutions, associations, foundations and any other kind of organisation, public or private, along with their continuing education and their particular professional recognition. To that end, the association understands social responsibility — following European Union guidance — as the responsibility of companies, institutions or organisations for their impacts on society, and it works across the economic and social spheres, on governance and transparency, on the environment, on human and labour rights, and on ethical management and fair operating practices.
