The event, held at CMI’s premises, will bring significant benefits to members of both organisations.
CMI Business School has signed a collaboration agreement with Comunidad Chinampa México, the first community of women professionals in CSR and sustainability working towards the Sustainable Development Goals in Mexico and internationally.
Present at the event in Madrid were Rafael García and Nilsa Mármol, the school’s founders; Cristina Espín, who heads CMI’s institutional relations department; and Alejandra Martínez, co-founder of Chinampa. Together they set out significant benefits for both organisations.
CMI agreed to offer 50% scholarships to all members and collaborators of Comunidad Chinampa México across every study mode, to publicise the community’s volunteering opportunities among CMI’s current students, and to open up collaboration through webinars and talks for students, among other things.
Comunidad Chinampa, for its part, set out a number of significant benefits for students too: welcoming them onto its volunteering programme, helping put them in touch with organisations and companies that might create synergies and mutual opportunities with CMI, and publicising CMI’s activities and programmes in the community’s newsletters.
Chinampa was founded in 2020 as a community of women aiming to join forces towards sustainable development, building a culture of trust, openness and growth.
“We believe there is strength in unity, and that through alliances like this we can go on strengthening women’s participation in society, while giving our talent visibility and making our contributions a point of reference in business,” said Alejandra Martínez on behalf of Comunidad Chinampa.
