A new business school, CMI, opens its doors in Madrid, with corporate social responsibility at its centre
Recent years have seen exponential growth in the number of companies placing the emphasis on sustainability and on the ecological aspects of how they are run. A new economy, more conscious and more committed to social and environmental development, calls for new skills and knowledge — ones that go beyond the economic and financial concerns and the models of leadership that belonged to the last century.
The Conscious Management Institute (CMI) was founded in 2017: a new venture in business education, built on its work as an institute of research, development and innovation in the management and administration of companies and organisations, NGOs and governments included, with corporate social responsibility running through everything it does.
The arrival of its programmes has been welcomed by a market increasingly concerned about the impact organisations have and about the search for solutions to far-reaching problems that demand everyone’s commitment. Companies can no longer look the other way and worry only about their share price, whatever the consequences.
CMI’s flagship programmes are its master’s degrees, the Responsible MBAs, aimed at business owners, entrepreneurs, professionals and students from the private and public sectors and from non-profit institutions who are looking for the most modern and advanced tools, and for the skills to lead, to start ventures and to evolve — and so to become part of a new, responsible economy.
