ABC recognised CMI’s programmes in its Business supplement, in which the major Spanish daily offered news and analysis for the country’s productive sector. Among other things it noted how necessary continuing education is, all the more so in a crisis: “A master’s can be the ideal training for facing emergencies such as the one COVID-19 has caused, and for cultivating a far-reaching strategic vision.”
In its edition of Sunday 26 April, ABC recognised in its Business School section how far ahead and how excellent CMI Business School’s programmes are, and their specialisation in corporate social responsibility. “Specialisation in new subjects has grown a great deal in recent years,” the paper noted.
The article also quoted Rafael García, the Institute’s president and founder, who stressed that the school’s values — a focus on CSR, on entrepreneurship and on innovation — “are the values society demands of the newest generation of leaders if they are to be the agents of the change the planet needs. There is a need for a new paradigm in how companies and organisations are managed.”
A new format
The article also mentioned the shift from on-campus courses to online ones: “The crisis the coronavirus has caused has made plain how important online teaching is. What has happened in most on-campus centres, forced to close their doors, is that their usual content has been adapted to a digital format using technology.”
At CMI, though, we already had advanced technology and management systems in place, and a Virtual Campus to make communication and the monitoring of each academic programme easier. Every one of our students, including those studying on campus, already had their own login for the platform through which they went on to receive their teaching remotely. Lecturers also use it to provide materials and feedback, and it serves as one more channel of communication.
