Rafael García, founding president of CMI Business School, appeared in the newspaper ABC to set out his view of how society can serve as the starting point for business today.
In a society that is ever more demanding and more aware, companies find themselves increasingly committed to their surroundings and to the environment, building CSR into their corporate strategy as a factor of competitiveness, and leaving no room for greenwashing.
“No question about it” is the tone of the determination now driving companies to transform their commitment to the world around them. “The Earth has shown itself to be a very delicate ecosystem, and we are suffering the grave consequences of an irresponsible exploitation of resources and of a way of managing business that has lacked any holistic view of its own processes,” said Rafael García.
This is a moment to reflect on the new habits, trends and behaviour through which companies can put their commitment and their influence first. Consumers are demanding attention and action from business, which is why Rafael García, president and founder of CMI, insists:
“In contrast to what used to be the case, consumers are fully informed and have more data than ever about companies and how they perform, so they are able to tell the difference and to reward companies with a purpose through their buying decisions.”
