On 21 September 2022, CMI Business School celebrated the fifth anniversary of its founding as the first business school in Spain with training programmes specialising in corporate social responsibility and sustainability. CMI Business School is a public-benefit company founded in 2017 by Rafael García and Nilsa Mármol, managing partners and founders of CMI, with the aim of helping to train professionals for corporate sustainability.
The celebration was held alongside the graduation of the October 2021–2022 cohort, at which the teaching faculty — made up principally of doctors and researchers who have accompanied this project since its earliest days — was honoured, with thanks to each of them for their dedication and commitment at every step of CMI’s growth.
Among the achievements celebrated over this period are the awards received for CMI’s educational excellence, recognising its teaching staff and its scholarship scheme. Over these five years, 513 scholarships have been awarded, representing more than a million euros of study support to help students realise their professional ambitions. CMI Business School also sits among the five best business schools in the Mundo Posgrado ranking, and is one of the ten best business schools in Spain for CSR education according to the portal Financial Magazine. This year it also celebrates achieving B Corp certification, in recognition of meeting the highest standards of governance, social performance and environmental impact.
CMI’s collaborative spirit and values are reflected in the partnerships built over these five years, among them academic and cooperation agreements with Universidad Católica de Ávila, Universidad Anáhuac Mayab in Mexico and the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology of the Dominican Republic — each bringing lasting benefits to the school’s development.
